This visit is related to Depp’s previous stay in Punta del Este, where he was also invited by Rodríguez and his wife Verónica Lozano to the Yellow Rose ranch, where he enjoyed polo matches.
The friendship between “Corcho” Rodríguez and Depp is said to have begun thanks to a mutual photographer, Ross Halfin, known for his photographs of rock stars. The two met last year at the Rome and San Sebastián festivals during the premiere of the film Modi, directed by Depp.
